Evereve Street Team Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

EDIT: If you're directed to this topic by the link in the News-Section, go to this topic, to get any information about how the EverEve Street Team works!

The idea has been spinning in my head for quite long: to create a Street Team and help the Eves get more attention and promotion so they get to play in our cities (besides, they deserve to be more known).

I was doing translations for them but since Kiefer is no longer in the band and he set me the news for Spanish translation... I can translate practically anything into Spanish and promote the Eves at other forums. I just need a banner but I'm retarded. The E-designer sent me the font but for Mac and freinds who've got a Mac don' know how to install it. Roll Eyes

Also, I've been trying to make an avatar with the pulsating heart that rocks so much. Both the avatar and the sig banner would have a link to the site.

What do you think?

Yeah, I've been carrying that idea around with me too Smile

Let's hear what the Eves are thinking about it. It would not too difficult, simply get some adresses of people that LOVE the band and are reliable, and send them some flyers. The flyers can be given to the masses at concerts, in local CD stores etc... I am doing this for 2 Record Labels here in germany (Nuclear Blast & Roadrunner Records) and it really seems to work. If it didn't they would not spend money on this.

Stickers are cheap (or so I think). They could have the band's webisite URL besides the logo and perhaps a release date of the new album.

Asking for Evereve songs (and video) in radiostations can be quite useful. You Europeans have better chances of getting an Eve song on the radio than me. Frown

Now, banners, animated gifs, that kind of stuff always get attention. Who did the graphical design for the website?

Can anyone give a hand with the Mac font?

There are no street teams in Russia. People distribute flyers only when this or that band is going to give a concert.
But still, I have one idea. There is one famous e-zine about extreme music, that gives free hosting. I want to make the site of EverEve using their hosting. And the banner of the site will be seen by lots of people. I want to do both russian and english versions. But I don't know - when I'll begin to do it. I even don't know how to make sites. Frown
As for the radio - it's useless. They play only mainstream

Yeah, Russia wiil always be Russia...And our radio or TV, such things are too rare played somewhere even not much times.
I was learning making sites and had some practise...Surely, like your idea. But that needs much of time, and isn`t very easy to be done.

Hm, by the way, if you`re discussing to find the best ways for doing smth., to help Evers who deserved being known...
It depends on where from did you here about them first? Really where???
Sorry, for saying about Russia again(cause in music aspect- a fucking country), but even in a big city, what a St.Petersburg is, it takes a lot of time to fing all Eves albums. You can find one in one place, and one another in second place, and so on... And absolutely nothing is heard about them, maybe there was smth. only when they came to Russia for a gig once...
And I`m happy I got a chnce for knowing about them (great thanks to my boyfriend), and I suppose many people here had even no chances...
Oh, this Russia...

I listened to Salvation in the Beauty in Darkness 3 album. A friend of mine got Stormbirds 'cause he was crazy about the song and once he lend it to me I looked EVERYWHERE for the album. got Seasons then Stormbirds.

Distribution of Eve albums is not very good, indeed. It's particularly hard to find Emania and .enetics even though Massacre released them and it's not a rare label. I got Emania for US$15 a couple of years ago and now it costs US$20. Mad .enetics is nowhere to be found, at least where I usually buy my CDs.

Thats why I thought of getting distributed by www.scarecrowrecords.com. They are cheap and are broadly distributed in Latin America. But the boys should speak to Massacre for that. Scarecrow has released Sirenia (labelmates) albums.

I actualy heard Evereve because a mate review Regret and passed the promo onto me. I have only ever seen 2 evereve CDs in the Uk both in a shop called Resurection records in camden town in london. This is a speciality label/shop who only sell goth/industrial/hardcore/black/death etc.

I honestly think the best way for people to get on board with the EVE boys would be if they had a support slot with a similar sounding band (i have mentioned PL before and still think it would help them out alot, but of course PL are on BMG and Evereve are on Massacre.) Record labels suck and just exist to suck the life out of bands we love.

I love the idea of street teams, flyers, stickers etc.. i tell everyone i can about evereve but you can only do so much as i have said before. Short of a major label taking up Evereve (eg. Sony, who would probably totatly fuck over the boys) there is little we can do, unless the label back up the band.

What really annoys me is when no matter how much a radio station/MTV etc might like a song they wont play it cause its by a "goth band" called Evereve. god i hate record label poletics.

You wouldnt belive the horror stories i have been told boys and girls. I have several friends in bands and a mate who is a manager and fucking hell the crap they can tell you about what ACTUALY happens. makes you angry just thinking about it.........

sorry. rant over. Big Grin

So happy you are living in Moscow.
By the way, shame on them, usually everyone coming to Russia play at least in 2 cities, but Eves ignored St. Petersburg Roll Eyes Baby

I think you're not right. They would've played almost everywhere. It depends on our promoters. Don't know why Alive concerts didn't take them to St-Petersburg Confused And not everyone usually plays in 2 cities, as you say. Usually they do so on the second visit. So, we'll hope that next time they'll visit our Northern Capital! Smile

Hey...

you are really cool... so maybe we will find a good way to push the promotion for the next album to the limits... So if you have any ideas. post it in this forum... (and it seems as if you have many ideas!). Just extremely busy right now but I will talk it over with the other guys...

To our Russian friends: you are right. There has only been one show at our first Russian trip. But as it turned out to be such a success there will probably another concert in St. Petersburg next time... we will see... maybe we will return this autumn...;-))

Stay as you are. We appreciate your loyalty!!

As MZ gave his commentaries and I`m happy, wanna agree with you that some foreign visitors come to Moscow only for the first time, and to Spb only while they come second time

It'd be wonderful to visit Russia and go to a Evereve gig. Man, that sounds so cool. If only I were rich...

Well, so far our ideas are the following:
1.- Send flyers to reliable people so they promote the band when they tour. Stores that sell Evereve CDs could get some flyers or stickers, too.

2.- Getting people you know to know Evereve. From what I've learned don't press them too much, just present them a couple of songs while driving, at a party or in a burnt CD (but as a recoplation Wink ). Show them passion and people might get interested. Playing them at parties helps. For exampl, I've got an online friend that sometimes plays as a DJ at his local Goth/Metal club. He really liked .enetics and he plays some sons. He could have flyers and stickers, too.

3.- Internet. Asking for E-tunes in the radio stations, promoting with banners and avatars in forums (such as Ultimatemetal.com or Digitalmetal, as well as band websites), quoting X-Istance (or any other) as your email sig, putting banners in your webistes.

So, to accomplish the above suggestions we need:

1.- Flyers and stickers, duh. Tongue Guess Massacre can help with this.

2.- Spreading the word. This can be actively done by us:
In foreign languages there are already three songs in other languages than Engliish: Abraza la Luz, Spleen and a lot in German. I can translate free of charge as before Wink what the band asks me to if the mail me to kain.crimson (at) gmail (dot) com.
Supporting the fanclub sites also help even if they are in French or Russian.
Promoters will get the band to play live if there are people that will go to the concert. The Eves can be supporting act of well-known bands such as Paradise Lost, Oomph, Samael, Theatre of Tragedy, Pain. People that like Industrial, Cyber or anything related are good candidates. Burn them a mini Cd with three tracks (no more, the idea is t help the band Wink ) as a promo CD. Don't forget to attach the webiste URL, names of the songs and maybe even a scanned Logo (CDs with logos are always easier to remember and get attention).
Don't forget to mention that they covered Cold in The cure tribute. Big Grin

3.- Whenever there are polls, competitions or anything like that, let's ask for Evereve even if they are not in the list. Ask other friends to help you with that even if they don't know the band -it's just a favor Wink , use multiple mail accounts if you have to (hee, hee).
If someone is god wth Photoshop *cough*Wizo*cough*, he/she could make a nice avatar with This Heart as the logo or a baner that sas Evereve and shows the spikey-back woman.
I'm quite lucky that in Latin America most girls have a crush for German guys so I just have to use some pics f the guys as MSN avatars to get girls interested in them. Big Grin
All E-videos can help to convert new people into Emaniacs. Everyone loves a good show and the band sure gives one. Cool

Sounds good....especially the part with the girls...;-))

Support shows are not that bad, too, but mostly the basic conditions for support acts are not really good ... so we usually prefer playing festivals or headliner shows... but if there is a chance for a nice support show (like last year with Type O Negative) we are always interested in playing with nice bands. In fact we played with all the bands you mentioned and it has been great (@ Shadowy: btw: we played with PL, too; but unfortunately not in the UK. It has been in France....)

So we are proud of you E-Maniacs supporting us...

CU one day on tour!
