Hi E-Manicas!
Just dropping a note on the latest of our "emission"! First mix is in the works, but we still have way to go on this. Don't forget we are producing this baby ourselves and emphasize even more on not having anything fall short. So lot's of sweat, blood and hard work will reward us in the end though!
To be continued.....

Well folks,
just got back from the studio doing vocals with MZ and we have been working our asses off day and night. As you know we have decided to completely work without a producer as far as collaboration goes. So now we work that much harder and are not easily satisfied. Stick with us and hang in there, 'cause it just takes a load of work for us to feel right about the whole thing. Btw., vocals recordings went really well Another step towards completion of "e-mission"
Cheers, Martin

Hello friends!
Some interesting news regarding Ape Einstein here, for those of you who are interested:
*APE EINSTEIN Song on Gothic Compilation 43!*
Apes are only human as well... That's why we are somewhat proud to announce that
we will be represented on the forthcoming Gothic Compilation Part 43 with our song "Abendrot".
This is the very first official chance for anyone to listen/own an entire Ape Einstein song.
There you'll find us in company of nice bands such as Nightwish, The Eternal Afflict, Noisuf-X und many more.
So anyone who got interested after listening to our teasers in what a complete piece of art of ours sounds like and would like to listen to some more beautiful music, should probably check out the CD...

Hi everybody!
I was gonna post new EE pics here of us working in the studiio, but me and anything related to graphics/photo editing software etc. is just a pure nightmare, period! So I took the easy way out and posted all the shots at our myspace site. You don't need to be registered there for watching them, just click the pics. And yes there are more drum pics there than any other ones, but it is the most challenging instrument to get a great acoustic sound from and there are the most angles you can watch different mic positions etc. for all the technical involved visitors. Plus I'm an addict as far as that stuff's concerned anyhow!! Here you go: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cf...iendID=24904507

Hi guys!
Yeah right, there ain't too much action happening here, but there are always some of you die hard E-maniacs checking in and let me tell you that is of more value then anyone who is just hanging on to you for the moment because you're trendy or so. So we are right in the middle of things. Drums are almost done recording (they sound dangerously great so far ) and I'm gonna see that there will be at least some pics coming your way right here from the process, just to fill you in some more. Studio pics should available in about a week. Keep checking for them here!

Hi there,
I wanna take this chance on behalf of the whole band to pay our respects and thank people like Kat and Kain for taking on such a long trip (Kain just about halfway around the world) to see an EverEve concert. Sometimes, when the going gets tough, you ask yourself why you put up with all the hassle but moments like that show you why and they do their part to keep a motor running!!
Thanx a lot guys & hope to see you again, hopefully at a place near you
Cheers, Martin

Hi guys,
well it's actually pretty simple: To see pics on myspace you need to register there/have your own profile there. If you don't have that, no seeing anyones pics. Easy! All myspace links given here work perfectly for me.
But in the end the absolut best way is to put the pics up on our website. I mean we have them and that is the way it works on all other websites as well! So a bit more patience and you'll be able see them here at home, where they belong
Cheers mates,

Hi there!
I think there might be a couple of points to consider if someone like Kain travels such a long ass way to see EverEve. Sure, to see both shows might be best, but to far apart. The first show will be more in like a festival setting and will take place in a venue in northern Germany, not far from Cologne, Dortmund etc. Some places you might have heard of. Plenty of things to do there and lot's of stuff to see. Not bad at all!! Especially if you wanna see a lot of the more typical stuff Germnay is known for. The second gig will be in southern Germany. This will probably be more of a "private" setting as it's taking place in a rather small club. Plus, particularly this club we have not played in a REAL long time. So it's hard to predict whether there will be a lot of people or not. Only thing both shows have in common is that EverEve will be headlining. Near the 2nd show you'll find places like Strasbourg (Fra.), Freiburg (Ger.) and Basel (Ch.). Also very interesting. You could manage to visit 3 countries in one weekend. Great if you want a lot of variety and see more besides Germany. So take all that in consideration, incl. the difference in what kind of show you'll rather see and I hope this helps you with your decision!!
Good luck,
Martin C.

I went to a Muse concert. Man, they are great! Although their last album was a bit too pop-ish the songs they played sound so much better live. The piano parts gave me goosebumps because they were played exactly as in the albums.[/quote]
Hi people!
Kain man, I gotta comment that 'cause it just brought back memories of when I saw Muse and it is really simple: The best concert I have seen in a long time. These three little dudes come on stage and just freaking wreck it. Everything just gets a strong grip on you! Their performing charisma, energy, enthusiasm, musicianship and the sincerity of their tunes. A must see for everyone!! Uups, I forgot that I just saw another amazing show. Totally different ballgame but they convinced me as much as Muse. I'm talking about the german industrial band Feindflug. If you get a chance to see them crazy brothers marching through a concert hall near you, go and see it, you will not regret it!! And of course, don't forget to check out EverEve when they're playing a swing of shows again
Cheers friends and have a pleasent sunday!!

Hey everybody!
Just discovered this thread (shame on me, I know!). But I am glad to see the spanish speaking community is picking up again around here!! I am also really glad to see that Kain is one of the few people who did get the message correctly about the Wifebeater/shirt name thing I actually like it more the way it sounds in spanish to be honest. However, since Tried & Failed I'm back to Martin C. again. Unfortunately things like that have not been updated on the website yet...
I wish you a great weekend E-people, whatever it is you're planning on doing!

Hi everybody!
Well if you wanna get back into the driver seat shadowy and you're stuck with sensitive neighbours, I'd just simply get a regular practice kit. I have one and when I'm not at the rehearsal studio I just practice every day at home on it. It has two kick pads, one for snare and three tom toms. Of course all you can hear is the stick hit the rubberpads, but that's perfect for strictly working on technique. The set is from Pearl as are my acoustic drums and I've been using them for quite a few years now. The alternative would be one of those Roland V electronic sets. But there are some other no name companies who also build some some pretty good E-drums for much less. Last but not least, almost more important than anything else would be a metronome!! All the great things/tricks one can do are absolutely worthless if they are not in time. Timing is of utmost importance in drumming!
Tried & Failed is in 11/8. So you almost got it You probably just counted slow in a quarter note pulse and squashed one 8th at the end that way. If you wanna count it out, key is to count 8th notes (twice as fast). You can hear them on the hi hat. Most comfortable way to count along would be 1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5, which makes 11. Main backbeat is with the snare always on 3. Kick basic pattern is on 1, between 2 and 3 (which is called 2and), 4, 6, 1, 2and, 5. Then it starts over again! The hi hat plays straight through 8th notes. If you understand this way of describing it, you should be able to play this odd meter, no problem. Give it a try and let me know how it went !
Cheers and have fun!!

People have some good taste around here I see!
Has anyone heard the new Muse album already??
Btw.: Depeche Mode's show in Germany at the Rock am Ring Festival just destroyed everything. Probably one of the best concerts I've ever seen!!
